SPECIAL TOTORO & TORO RAMEN!!!

Welcome to 'IVAN CAN COOK SO DO YOU PROGRAMME'!!! LOL

Haha today i offered to cook Ramen for my family!!! Haha turned out quite tasty ar... not i thick skinned but realli lah, except for being a bit salty as i added too much miso into the soup! LOL but first time cooking the miso soup so muz gif chance k? LOL :p Hmm for the side dish i slice the lean meat to thin slices and stir-fried and i deep-fried fist slices too!!! Haha the idea of the meat is from the Bugis trip wif my clique where we ate at Ajisen, haha where Chanel ate the Totoro Ramen, which are thin slices of meat and the deep-fried fish idea came from my lunch as i ate fish soup in the afternoon! LOL

Overall quite satisfied wif the result of my cooking!!! Haha

Love to cook occasionally so that my parents can take a break from cooking.. imagine having to cook for 365 days evey year for the whole family. Hmm hope thru this can lessened their loan a little and they can watch TV longer. ALso, i can exercise my creativity by cooking wif the ingredients i can find from the fridge and is somehow cooing kinda release my stress!!! haha weird rite?!? But seriously, by looking at the 'masterpiece' i haf done, it makes me happier!!!

Hmmm rest a lot todae!!! Gotta do some work! TATA!!! :D


Parents Teacher Meeting

Hmmm haf to meet my CT, Miss Gopal, yesterday as i did badly for my mid years. Wif 2Us, namely H2 Maths and Economics, got a sub-pass for Biology which was realli disappointing and 2Ds for my General Paper and Chemistry. The only results that consoled me are Genral Paper as I was quite shock to see im in the 90th percentile but it was realli bcos im lucky and nt bcos im realli better than anyone else. The tutor who marked my essay was lenient, juz like what Ms Peh, my GP tutor had said to me. As for Chemistry, I realli worked hard for it and i haf spent 2 weeks out of my June holidays studying purely Chemistry, hmm but the result is still short of my target. The disappointment is my economics cos i liked the subject, yet... Hmm for Maths, haiz almost fainted when I see my marks... 25.5 only... Hmm so gotta buck up already!!! This will be the first and LAST time to get this kinda grades...

Hmm luckily im not veri attitude in school, so the meeting wif my CT was quite smooth as she offered suggestions on how to better manage my time and strategise my learning.

Time to Work HARD!!!

Hmm our school did quite badly for our mid years... everyone was worried... even the teachers and the Principal. Our prinicpal was veri angry with us i guess as it can be heard from his tone when speaking to us about our performance in the mid years...

The teachers are all out to help us and they haf taken the measure of 'drilling', trying to get us to practice more and more papers, in the hope that we can retain more information of what we had learn. Most of the subjects haf come up wif Scheme of Work so as to let use know what to prepare for the next lecture, this includes tutorials, school papers, time trials and tests. Hmm had been busy wif tutorial as they just seem to be endless...

Kinda miss the O level times... it's really so different as compared to the 'A's. Hmm feel like I need a breather at times... hope but i guess what Mr Kwek said is correct, work hard for this 3 months and enjoy the rest of 80+ years!

Hopefully my effort wun go to waste... Okie gotta go and attempt to make the Mount Everest of tutorials to Bukit Timah Hill!!! :P


King Lear @ Esplanade

Hahaha juz got bac from the esplanade after watching King Lear!!! Lear was played by Ian McKellen, who also acts in Lord of the Rings as Gandalf, in X-Men as Magneto and in Da Vinci Code as Sir Leigh Teabing. Haha the ticket cost a bomb!!! $82!!! Luckily it is paid using edusave... I was like tinking wah $82 not bad, should be sitting in the front alr... but i ended up sitting like on the last third row.. sobz... the stage actors were like tiny weeny characters from my view... can't realli see their expressions!!!

Haha to say the truth the show is veri chim.. coupled by the Shakespeare's English of thee and thou, I barely able to catch anything... Some of the parts i dun realli understand.. hmm muz find a lit student to explain to me the plot le... The show was SUPER LOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNGGGGG too!!! It was around 3 hrs 30 mins and the show started at 8pm... I was like struggling to keep myself awake when it is around 11pm... didn't sleep enough as haf to wake up early for my GP lesson today.

Nevertheless, I have experienced what it is like being in the theatre of esplanade as this was the first time i went in to watch a play!!! haha it was realli grand in there!!! The effects were great too, with the very 'real' lightnings effect and also the gunshots that practically wake up those who fell alsleep! LOL

Haha oops it's realli late alr... gotta turn in.. tml still haf to face a pile of tutorials and haf to convert them from incomplete to completed!!! Nitex ~


Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix

Went to watch Harry Potter on friday after my maths remedial... Haha kinda rush thou as the shhow is showing at 615 pm and we left school at around 540pm. Hmmm ate popcorn too... don't like the salty flavour one, taste weird...

Hmm on the contrary of the comments I heard about the show, i tink it was quite nice, it was quite action packed except during the 1 hour+ period, where there's lotsa conversations, but it was soon after. Like the fighting part, even though it is quite short... haha kinda look like Star Wars thou... with the Dark Lord coming out like Darth Vader and the casting of spells like light sabers... LOL

Hmmm maybe i like the show cos i didnt have the chance to read the book, but to me it's not that bad after all...


Chemistry Concept Test

Just took the NTU Chemistry Concept Test ytd. Wow it was realli difficult... 60 MCQs and the question paper is like 20+ pages and the words are so different, a bit not used to it... Like sulfur instead of sulphur, 1M instead of 1 mol dm-3, 1ml instead of 1cm3, 1 litre instead of 1dm3 and not mentioning all the other terms under orangic chemistry. It was realli an eye opener to me!!! No wonder for those who can get distinctions will be excused from some modules for Chemistry in NTU!!! Hopefully can at least obtained a D grade for that paper!!!


Mid Years Results...

Just gotten back my mid-years results... it was realli bad. Had spoken to the tutors of the subject that i did real badly... to my surprise they talked to me nicely and offered me suggestions!!! I was like tinking i will be getting a real harsh scolding le... Hmm i guess talking to me nicely is better than scolding as Im more motivated to do well so as to do my tutors and myself PROUD!!!

Will adhered to the tutors advise and yes will practice, practice and practice!!! Thx tutors for giving me a second chance!!!

After this Mid-Years realli feel that im realli lucky to haf the tutors i haf, including my CT!!! Haha thx for helping me too!!!


Post Mid Years - Bugis Outing

Went to Bugis with Meng Jiat, Chanel, Qin Lei, Yan See and Sheng Ping yesterday.

Haha follow them along to see them shop! Haha didnt realise that girls need so much accessory de (hmmm im nt offensive, bt was realli amazed! haha dun haf this kinda experience!!! :D)

Hmm had Ajisan for lunch... ate Cha Siew Ramen... Hmmm dunno why bt had a craving for it recently... LOL and so accurate we went there to eat!!!

Haha We took neoprint too!!! Haha had mani funni poses like act proud and act toot!!! LOL it realli came out veri funni... Haha so funni to see the 'designers' all rushing for time to decorate the photos as other people are alr inside taking photos!!!

Tml the new timetable will be starting... no more post-exam activities or independent learning... everything is bac to full force again... Results will be out tml too... Kinda worried, realli afraid to let my teachers down, especially for Maths.

Exams are finally over!!! Went to the arcade wif Chanel and her frens!!! Haha played lots of games!!! Including Initial D Stage 4, yea the machine is new and the graphics are veri nice!!! Each one is like watching a plasma TV! Hmmm bt its harder to play than Stage 3 and veri EXPENSIVE!

Haha played Daytona wif Chanel and her frens too! Poor Chanel... always got the last accidentally! LOL she also started off leading and ended off at the bac... weird rite? Haha

Playing Time Crisis

Haha enjoyed myself on that day.. so rare to have Chanel going to the arcade and its been quite long since i played in the arcade already.

Hmmm met one of my 1st months fren after that, we went to Suntec!!! Wah its like have to walk SUPER FAR from the City Hall station!!!

Haha as he went bac to Hong Kong last December, he bought me a Disney Dale Multi-Purpose Holder! So nice of him!!! :D Haha and we each talked about the happenings in our school!

Hmmm but it was a rewarding trip!!! Bought Death Note 2 Movie Poster and a Mitsubushi Lancer Model!!! Haha just finished constructing the model!!! But still got lots of touch up to do!!! Hahaa like always, I will buy a model after an exam, but this time was an exception cause i will usually buy Gundam Models.
